There's not much that isn't improved by adding some Star Wars to a game, and this does of course also apply to a stellar game like Xcom 2.
A later expansion, XCOM 2: War Of The Chosen, was released in 2017.It features three Recurring Bosses known as "The Chosen", who adapt to the. Like the previous game, XCOM 2 also has a version of the (in)famous XCOM: Long War mod, Long War 2, which was first released January 19th, 2017.
Has an Interquel novel, "XCOM Resurrection", meant to bridge the gap between the first and second games.
What this mod does is add a whole new Chryssalid faction to the game. The Hive, which was created by a team of 11 popular modders is an unforgiving but brutally fun addon that can cause complete anarchy at times, especially on some of the higher difficulty missions.
Arguably this is by far one of the hardest and best Xcom 2 mods you can download.
